Kaito is the first known shadow caster in his family line. Born and raised in Central, Malgar’s capital city, Kaito enlisted to join the Legion of Shadow Casters (LoSC) at a young age. He stunned his superiors by recording the first ever perfect score in the introductory Dawn Trials, a series of tests to prove a young shadow caster’s casting aptitudes and potential.

Because of his success in the Dawn Trials, Kaito bears a reputation as a casting prodigy and is never short on confidence. He’s always eager to prove his skills and much prefers jumping headfirst into action over practicing or studying. He is unphased by the challenge of summoning any of the basic shadow creatures and is formidable with nearly all shadow weapons. Together with his best friends Nigel and Sumi, he trains under the Head of LoSC Master Toshio, who is considered the greatest caster on the planet.
